Brett Hopkins serves as Portfolio Manager for a range of LaSalle’s custom account clients investing in the United States. In this role he is responsible for directing the day-to-day management of the existing portfolios as well as the strategic direction of new investments, working alongside the asset management, transactions, and debt capital markets teams.
After joining LaSalle in August 2020, Brett previously led LaSalle’s transactions activity within the office (including medical office and life sciences), retail and industrial sectors, overseeing acquisition and disposition activity across much of the eastern United States on behalf of all of LaSalle’s direct investment accounts. His experience prior to LaSalle spanned both equity and debt investment and originations as well as asset management oversight on behalf of discretionary value-add and opportunistic funds.
Brett earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School with a concentration in real estate finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), sitting on the Healthcare and Life Sciences Council, and has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam.
