Robin James is Head of Transactions for the UK and Ireland at LaSalle, where he is responsible for leading and implementing the acquisition and sales strategies in both countries. Robin is based in London and heads a team of transaction managers and analysts. He is a member of LaSalle UK’s Custom Accounts Portfolio Management Committee, and a member of LaSalle’s European Sustainability Task Force – Transactions Working Group. Robin has extensive transaction experience throughout the UK, across sectors and the risk spectrum as well as through two economic cycles, with particular expertise in low risk, long dated index-linked investments that can help hedge long-term liabilities within client’s pension schemes, as well as complex development fundings.
Prior to joining LaSalle in 2017, Robin was Head of Real Estate Investment at a Sharia-compliant merchant bank and also worked for LaSalle’s parent company, JLL, within their investment advisory business, focusing on Central London and National Investment, He began his real estate career there in 1996.
Robin holds a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from the University of Reading. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is a Certified Person under the UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime.
