LaSalle appoints Elysia Tse as Head of Research and Strategy for Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE (5 May 2016) – LaSalle Investment Management (“LaSalle”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elysia Tse as Head of Research and Strategy, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

SINGAPORE (5 May 2016) – LaSalle Investment Management (“LaSalle”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elysia Tse as Head of Research and Strategy, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

Tse will be working closely with the Global Strategy team, led by Jacques Gordon, Global Strategist, who is based in Chicago. The team analyzes regional economic trends and property markets in 150 cities across 30 countries, and works with clients to formulate investment strategies crucial to attaining real estate investment success. Tse reports to Mark Gabbay, Asia Pacific CEO, who is based in Hong Kong and Jacques Gordon.

Gabbay commented, “Elysia’s arrival marks a key appointment at LaSalle as we bolster our strategy capabilities in Asia Pacific to support the fund management teams and help identify opportunities in the region for our global investors. She brings a wealth of experience in investment market research and strategy as well as a strong understanding of the region.”

Tse said, “I am excited to be taking on this role at a time where Asia Pacific is undergoing rapid growth and constant change in the real estate investment sector. I look forward to building on LaSalle’s well-established research capability in the region.” 

Elysia was previously a member of LaSalle’s Americas Research & Strategy Group between 2002 and 2005. Prior to returning to LaSalle, she was the Head of Research & Strategy – Real Estate Asia Pacific at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she was responsible for formulating market views and investment strategies. She joined Aviva in March 2012 before its Asia Pacific direct real estate platform was acquired by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. She has also worked on research and strategy at Citigroup Property Investors and BlackRock Real Estate Equity in New York.

Tse received a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Xiamen University in China.
