Objective of Role: 

LaSalle Investment Management is seeking an Intern to join its’ firm in our Baltimore office. Intern role will provide exposure to both the private equity and public securities businesses and to a variety of property types, risk profiles and geographic regions.  


Private Equity Role:

  • Dependent on role, job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Perform financial analyses, including Argus valuation models and Excel-based underwriting pro-formas, cash flow projections and sensitivity analyses
    • Perform detailed quarterly financial statement analysis, review of rent rolls, current and future cash flow and forecasting of cash flows through Argus
    • Review and analyze potential leases and their financial impact on an investment
    • Assist property managers in development of annual operating budgets and quarterly reforecasts
    • Provide analytical support to colleagues in the areas of fund operations and asset management
    • Oversee compliance of ground leases and mortgages
    • Gather and evaluate economic and market data
    • Assist with client reporting and presentation preparation, including the presentation of investment memoranda to the firm’s Investment Committee


Public Securities Role:

  • Exposure to the investment and Product Development groups
    • Investments:
      • Aggregate and analyze data that forms the basis for company level cash flow projections
      • Participate in weekly investment team meetings
      • Complete a summer project to research, analyze and make a recommendation on a real estate stock
  • Product Development
    • Assist in client service and new capital raising effort
    • Fulfill internal and external client requests and inquiries
  • Create and enhance client product information and resources


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Pursuing a BA/BS degree with estimated completion of December 2021 or Summer 2022
  • Prior Internship experience a plus
  • Strong financial and analytical ability with solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
