Summary/Team Overview

This position is responsible for the accounting, administration and reporting functions for global real estate securities accounts. This person is expected to have a clear understanding and experience with portfolio accounting and investment operations.

 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accounting and administration functions for global real estate securities accounts

• Maintain accounting records inclusive of holdings, client flows, income, expenses, corporate actions and pricing

• Reconcile cash and security positions with custodian banks and resolve discrepancies

• Identify and trouble shoot easier problems with proposed solutions

• Prepare and analyze reporting for clients and other external parties

• Evaluate accounting data and incorporate results into presentations for existing and prospective client meetings

• Monitor account compliance for adherence to investment guidelines

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Calculate and invoice clients for management and performance-based fees

• Provide value-added solutions in response to the needs of the business

 

Qualifications/Experience

• BA/BS degree with minimum of 2-4 years of experience

• Back office securities investment operations and mutual fund accounting experience

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a proven ability to learn new operations and technology quickly

• Must exhibit problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work as a member of a team

• Knowledge of global REIT securities and Eagle Investment Systems software is a plus
