Vice President, Asset Manager

LaSalle Investment Management is currently seeking a full-time Asset Manager to join the Canada Private Equity business, based in the firm’s Toronto office.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement annual asset level strategic plans, including hold/sell analysis

Lead the research, analysis, and execution of asset level strategic initiatives
-
Engage and direct property managers in development of operating budgets including capital and leasing plans
-
Oversee property level operating activities including supervision of third-party property managers and leasing agents
-
Establish leasing objectives/guidelines, provide oversight of revenue management system/strategy, manage lease process as needed for mixed use assets and prepare execution recommendations to Portfolio Manager

Oversee and direct the completion of quarterly valuations and cash flow forecasts

Assist in economic underwriting and due diligence for wholly owned acquisitions and transition of acquisitions to Asset Management

Direct and manage the internal LaSalle process of obtaining investment committee approval of all dispositions

Participate in the strategic initiatives of the broader multifamily and asset management teams

Manage the disposition process for wholly owned property sales

Execute property level financings

Review of financial reports to monitor performance and achieve investment objectives

Participate in Investment Committee and client presentations

Prepare client quarterly reporting for assets
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
-
Minimum 8-10+ years of commercial or investment real estate experience, asset management experience

Strong written/verbal communication skills

Self-starter with strong problem solving and quantitative skills

Interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with external and internal clients required

Ability to work well with others and manage/motivate junior staff

Ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines

Development and asset repositioning experience
-
Familiarity with revenue management systems
-
Willingness to travel
