Team Overview:  the team is focused on the implementation of LaSalle’s European sustainability strategy which focuses on climate change, responsible consumption, social value and rewilding. The team manages ESG factors on a portfolio of approximately $22bn to protect and enhance investment returns for clients from around the globe.


Role and Accountabilities: As a Manager in this team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance to the European business in the development and delivery of asset-level NZC pathways. Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinating the role out of NZC audits by the selected panel of NZC consultants across the European portfolio;
  • Supporting and advising asset managers on development of asset level net zero carbon pathways;
  • Supporting the implementation of asset level NZC plans, including the project management of packages of work across multiple assets, to include tendering and delivery of the projects to time and budget. This will cover energy efficiency, deep retrofit and renewable energy solutions;
  • Provision of technical solutions and strategies to help the business meet ‘net zero’ targets, including working with debt and indirect investment teams;
  • Being the point of contact for technical ESG questions, for example in the case of reviewing potential acquisitions;
  • Embedding carbon and energy management within current and future supply chain contracts such as property management agreements;
  • Driving the implementation of our NZC strategy through engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Providing technical expertise on carbon reduction and energy efficiency opportunities within our portfolios, including opportunities for low to net zero heat and power solutions (i.e. heat networks and localised renewable technologies);
  • Engagement in industry organisations such as the Better Building Partnership to stay abreast with industry developments and drive forward NZC in the built environment.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • A passion for sustainable and NZC buildings;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience, with technical expertise in sustainable buildings including NZC technical design, embodied carbon and whole life cycle assessments, thermal modelling such as NABERS UK DfP & CIBSE TM 54 analysis, carbon offsetting analysis, renewable energy generation assessments;
  • Strong project management experience;
  • A good understanding of related building regulation issues;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Creativity and very high attention to detail and quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and their expectations;
  • Ability to manage complex documentation, fully proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
  • Thrives in a continuous improvement environment; flexible and adaptable.
