Objective of the Role:

LaSalle Americas is seeking a Valuation Management Associate to serve as key member of the Americas asset management platform. This role will work closely with the Co-Head of Asset Management Strategy & Initiatives and support the valuation, sector portfolio analytics and property-level performance reporting.  A key function of this role will manage the workflow of the valuation process and act as a liaison with LaSalle’s asset management, portfolio management, acquisition, and research teams during the valuation process. The successful candidate must have strong attention to detail, project management skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility to manage the quarterly valuation workflow.
  • Coordinating appraisals with third parties and managing the valuation advisor process.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly property valuation models and portfolio analytics for various asset classes.
  • Work with asset management, acquisitions, research, and portfolio management to identify strategic assumptions including cap rates and key market driven assumptions.
  • Gather and report on market intelligence including recent sales data and prevailing market conditions.
  • Prepare and present valuation summaries for Investment Committee.
  • Work with Co-Head Asset Management Strategy & Initiatives to maintain valuation best practices and enhance reporting for sector and property level performance.


Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in estate-related fields such as valuations, financial analysis, accounting, etc.
  • Real estate knowledge, including market fundamentals and financial cash flow modeling
  • Drive and desire to learn new technologies and grow technical and functional skill sets
  • Familiarity with valuation software, particularly Argus, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and quantitative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines
