Team Overview:

The Fund Management team is responsible for acting as a liaison for all other departments of the business with regard to the Fund. As such the role is both internal and external facing. It involves close teamwork with the Asset Management, Acquisition, Finance, Research & Strategy and Financing teams, as well as liaising with external service providers and the client.


Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have full operational responsibility for one or more managed pan-European funds with several hundred million Euros under management. The candidate will co-ordinate one or more Fund Analysts and report directly into the Head of Separate Accounts. The candidate must have a profound understanding of European real estate markets. The role will involve significant interaction with Asset Management and Acquisitions as well as external clients, advisors and valuers. The successful candidate will typically be responsible for tasks as noted below:

Strategy and Performance

  • Implement overall strategy for the fund consistent with the mandate’s objectives and investment parameters
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of managing the portfolio on a day to day basis and assume responsibility for ensuring all portfolio level and asset level decisions support the achievement of the fund’s targets  



  • Ensure acquisitions teams fully understand the investment criteria at all times and continually assist the teams in reviewing potential acquisitions and underwriting
  • Continually monitor conditions within local markets in order to have a framework from which to evaluate new investments or potential disposals
  • Lead preparation and presentation of Investment Committee papers.


Asset/ Portfolio Management

  • Set annual asset level business plans with Asset Management and Research & Strategy teams and oversee the execution of these
  • Review fund performance and risk parameters on a regular basis including hold/sell analysis with regards to portfolio assets
  • Drive preparation of annual fund strategy and business plan
  • Review annual asset level budgets; Ensure external quarterly valuations are properly prepared
  • Prepare board decision papers for SPVs and holding structures.


Investor Relations

  • Oversee preparation of all investor reports and presentations
  • Manage client communications including matters relating to investor presentations, business plans, budgets, update of investment strategy or asset management activities
  • Address all investor requests, delegating as appropriate to other in-house teams


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in European real estate, preferably in acquisitions, fund management or valuations
  • Strong education with a university degree in business, economics, real estate or similar
  • Capacity for decision-making; ability to prioritise and to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Experience in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders and to act as trusted adviser to clients
  • Managerial skills with ability to guide and develop junior staff
  • Collegiate approach and ability to work both independently as part of a European team
  • Analytical approach with a very strong attention to detail
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Business fluency in English as well as French or German is essential
  • Willingness to travel in Europe
