LaSalle Investment Management (“LaSalle”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Lyon as Director of Finance and Operations for LaSalle in Europe, reporting to Jeff Jacobson, European Chief Executive Officer of LaSalle. Jamie will be joining us from ProLogis where he helped establish their European presence and finance function in 1998, and has been Finance Director ever since as they have rapidly expanded to be the largest owner and developer of warehouse properties in Europe.
In announcing the appointment, Jeff Jacobson, said “We are extremely pleased to have Jamie join our organisation where his skills and energy will be used to further strengthen our leading position in the European property fund management industry. Jamie brings a wealth of experience in operating across Europe including tax and accounting expertise, systems roll-out and integration, tax and fund structuring, state of the art cash management tools, and the use of sophisticated securitised and traditional bank financing tools. He also successfully built and led a large accounting, tax, IT and HR team.”
Mr. Jacobson further commented “Jamie will build upon the growth we have seen in our European business over the past five years. Today, we have invested in 10 different countries, manage a number of closed end and open ended funds for both institutional and individual investors, make complex joint venture investments, utilise sophisticated debt facilities and related interest rate hedging tools, and invest our firm’s own capital alongside that of our clients. We anticipate further growth and change over the next five years as the real estate fund management industry becomes more sophisticated and we build upon our position as one of the leaders in the industry.”
