Zelick Altman has been promoted to Managing Director for Canada with responsibility for overall leadership of the company’s Canadian operations, which include offices in Toronto and Vancouver. Mr. Altman joined LaSalle in 2000 and has been instrumental in the growth and success of the firm. In 2003, Mr. Altman was responsible for the launch of the Canadian Income & Growth Fund, which raised $CAD268 million to invest in a diversified portfolio of value-add properties. Over the past three years, Mr. Altman has been involved in the acquisition of more than $CAD600 million of properties on behalf of the fund and other separate account clients.

Peter Martin, a 23-year veteran of the real estate industry, has been named Senior Vice President, Acquisitions in the company’s Vancouver office. Prior to joining LaSalle, Mr. Martin was Manager of Industrial and Commercial properties at Concert Properties Ltd., where he directed acquisitions and developments in British Columbia and Alberta. Prior to that, he was responsible for acquisitions and development for BCR Properties Ltd. and operated his own real estate investment company. He holds Master’s of Planning and Bachelor of Commerce Degrees from Queen’s University.

In the Toronto office, LaSalle has expanded its research and analytical capabilities through the addition of Nigel Griffin as Research Analyst and Bennett Kim as Associate, Acquisitions. Prior to joining LaSalle, Mr. Griffin was a Junior Commercial Real Estate Appraiser involved in the valuation of a wide range of real estate assets including industrial, land, office, retail and multi-family residential properties. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree specializing in real estate from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Kim has over 12 years of commercial real estate experience in Canada, most recently as Senior Financial analyst at Colliers International. Prior to that, he was an Analyst with the Downing Street group, with extensive involvement in the due diligence process across all asset classes. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and History from the University of Toronto.
