Objective of Role: 

LaSalle Securities is currently seeking a Performance Analyst to join our team in Baltimore.  The Performance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate performance and attribution measurement and reporting. This includes ownership of the technical, analytical and reporting aspects of performance data for all portfolios, composites and benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in portfolio performance and attribution as well as excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performance measurement, attribution, risk reporting, composite and benchmark data maintenance
  • Effectively utilize Eagle PACE system to generate accurate performance and attribution data.
  • Generate and analyze performance returns for accounts, benchmarks and composites, researching and resolving any results that fall outside of the acceptable ranges.
  • Supply performance measurement reports on daily, monthly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Monitor and reconcile benchmark data information received from data vendor, resolving any problems that arise promptly
  • Calculate and maintain performance composites in compliance with GIPS. Update and maintain necessary composite documents and disclosures
  • Lead projects that facilitate improvements in Performance & Attribution
  • Enhance and maintain reports necessary to fulfill reporting requirements for clients, portfolio management and marketing groups
  • Develop and maintain department procedures
  • Participate in other projects as requested by management

 

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Two to five years industry related experience
  • Professional experience generating & monitoring performance returns for investment accounts required
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the investment management business 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, databases, queries, reports and charts including creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets required
  • Demonstrated high commitment to meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations
  • Well organized, flexible, able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Technical proficiency with Eagle performance attribution and accounting systems, Bloomberg or related software a plus
