Objective of Role: 

As a member of the Global HR team, provide strategic and operational HR generalist support to LaSalle’s European Business, focusing mainly on the UK. Reporting to the Head of HR – Europe, the role holder would be responsible for the day to day HR needs of the London office, as well as managing and delivering a number of HR initiatives, both regionally and globally. This role is also supported by a HR Resourcing Associate and Team Assistant, and works alongside the HR Business Partner for Continental Europe. A key HR transformation initiative for the team in 2018 will be the roll out of the new HR system, Workday, and Shared Service across Europe in close partnership with the project team at JLL.

 

Role and Accountabilities:

  • Provide day to day advice and guidance to managers and staff in the UK
  • Act as point of contact for HR-related processes, issues/questions for managers and employees
  • Work with managers to effectively diagnose organizational issues and partner to solve them
  • Partner with managers to effectively address performance gaps
  • Working closely with the HR Resourcing Associate, oversee recruitment and employee induction for the UK business (including graduate and campus recruiting)
  • Lead various initiatives, particularly Diversity, Talent Management and Succession Planning for the UK business
  • Manage the roll-out of training and development initiatives
  • Support in the roll out of a number of global initiatives, including the implementation of a new global HR system and job framework
  • Performance Management - Coordinate annual performance review processes, identifying and managing any issues as they arise
  • Manage all UK Employee Relations issues. Advise and support on TUPE initiatives as required
  • Compensation and Benefits, including managing monthly payroll submissions, annual benefits renewal processes, compensation benchmarking exercises and support in the annual compensation review process
  • Manage HRI systems and support organisation with reporting and HR related statistics
  • Participate as a member of an international HR team in globally-sponsored human capital projects and issues, including but not limited to:  expatriate administration, recognition programs, training events and engagement survey coordination, analysis and action planning
  • Maintain productive relationships with the JLL HR team.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree level educated with major concentration in HR or business-related field.  CIPD qualified
  • Substantial experience in a client-focused HR Business Partner role, in financial services and/or professional services.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment would be preferred
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law
  • Strong analytical abilities, strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate and analyse data
  • Strong Project Management skills. Experience of having delivered HR transformation initiatives would be an advantage.
  • Experience in delivering Diversity and Talent and Succession initiatives would be preferred
  • Ability to build productive relationships at all levels 
  • Ability to coach and influence managers, ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively deliver presentations
  • Fluent English, excellent oral and written communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple countries and cultures
  • Strong team player, pro-active and motivated self-starter
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying problems and providing solutions
  • Familiarity with HRI systems and HR reporting. Experience in using Workday would be an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on where required
