LaSalle Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Guest as Head of Research and Strategy, Asia Pacific, effective from 1 September 2011.
Guest, who will be based in Singapore, will be working closely with the Global Strategy team, which analyzes capital markets, regional economies and property markets in 150 metropolitan areas and thirty countries. He reports to Jacques Gordon, International Director of Investment Strategy and Research based in Chicago, and Mark Gabbay, Asia CIO based in Hong Kong.
Gordon, comments: “Asia-Pacific is a key region for our global growth strategy, which recently included solidifying our presence in the Australia market. Paul has extensive experience managing real estate and economic research teams. We are delighted to add someone of his calibre to our group of investment professionals based in the region.
“Paul joins LaSalle at a key point in our evolution as a leader in the Asia market. We will look to Paul to help interpret macro trends throughout this fast-growing region and to participate in the development of top-performing investment strategies for our investors.”
Guest said: “Joining LaSalle was a natural fit given my background. The company is very well positioned across the region to target key investment opportunities and I look forward to building our regional strategy here. This is an exciting time to take on such a role.”
Guest joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was Head of EMEA Research and prior to that Director of UK Research. He brings a wealth of experience in managing operational and strategic functions of research teams. He was also previously Chief European Economist at Moody’s Economy.com/Moody’s Investors Service.
He studied at University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and later at the London School of Economics and Political Science where he earned an MSc in Economics.
