LaSalle Investment Management (“LaSalle”) today announces that it has completed a new letting at the Pavilion Shopping Centre in Thornaby, North Yorkshire.
LaSalle has signed a 10 year lease with Poundstretcher, the original value retail store, for two units, totalling 7,580 square feet, in the shopping centre. The new store will be one of the largest in the shopping complex which has attracted a range of popular high street retailers, such as New Look, Bon Marché, Peacocks, Home Bargains and Wilkinsons, since its £30m redevelopment in April 2009.
Simon Green, Associate Director, at LaSalle Investment Management, said: “The new lettings really are fantastic news following our recent acquisition and are consistent with our aspirations to let-up the remaining space in the shopping centre and continue to build on the existing strong retail offering.”
“We are delighted to have achieved these results so quickly in addition to the long term lease renewals of Icelands and Greggs, with three units now remaining.”
Andrew Wilkinson, Partner for Agency, at Sanderson Weatherall LLP, commented: “I’m delighted that retailers are continuing to realise the opportunities that exist within Thornaby.”
Sanderson Weatherall LLP acted jointly with @Retail on behalf of LaSalle Investment Management whilst Twenty Retail advised Poundstretcher.
