LaSalle Investment Management (‘LaSalle’), the leading global real estate investment manager, announced today that effective immediately Jack Chandler will assume the title of Global Chief Investment Officer. Related to these enhanced responsibilities, Mr. Chandler will become Executive Chairman of LaSalle’s Asia Pacific Business. Philip Ling, currently Managing Director Asia Pacific, will assume the title of Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, based out of the firm’s Singapore office.
In his expanded capacity Chandler will work with the firm’s key investors and private equity teams to develop new investment ideas and products throughout the 30 countries where LaSalle is an active investor. Asia will play a large role in this effort, and he will continue to work closely with Ling to continue to expand the firm’s platform and investment activities in that region.
Jeff Jacobson, Global CEO, LaSalle, comments: “These expanded roles will enable us to continue providing the highest level of service and performance to our Asia Pacific investors and expand our ability to serve clients in our other key countries.”
Chandler added: “Since joining us in 2007 Phil’s leadership has been instrumental as we strengthened and expanded our team and capabilities in the region. We see very attractive opportunities for our funds with remaining capital to invest, and I look forward to continuing working closely with him and our Asia Pacific team.”
